A Mass Effect movie should SO happen...

If they don't get Seth Green to play Joker, I won't be held responsible for my actions.

That's all i'm saying.

PWNED talk to the founders of BioWare about making games the BioWare way, Fem-Shep actress Jennifer Hale and the voice of Liara Ali Hillis take us through the ins and outs of voice acting, and Producer Mike Gamble tells us what we can expect in Mass Effect 3 and beyond:

Well, look at it this way - you don't want to piss off the fan base it was lifted from in the first place, you surely would want them on your side, right? In that case, it's a win/win.

Sadly, the last I heard was that the production had no intention of involving Seth Green or anyone else from the games.

Whilst I can understand the overall thinking behind that, I think not having Seth Green in the movie as Joker would be a very bad move in more ways than one, trust me.

Expect to see petitions left right and centre as (if) the production shifts in to gear.

To be honest I'm not holding out much hope of the movie ever seeing the light of day. If we're honest, most movies based on games a fucking terrible films, even aside from the fact they butcher gaming classics. I think the Resi films have managed to be half-decent without being too sacrilegious and the PoP movie wasn't bad. Even then it has little to nothing to do with the games, nicking the Sands of Time concept and building an entirely different story around it. Much of the time movie people just use games as idea farms, taking a core concept or established world and writing some fluff to fill it in. Hire some famous (and not so famous) actors and it's quids in.

Do we really want our beloved Mass Effect to end up like Resident Evil; more familiar to people as a watchable but unremarkable movie series than as a monumental game franchise? My comment about the ME movie was only half-serious. Done right, it could be amazing, but really what are the chances of that happening lol?

For those who haven't heard already...

Copied from IGN
A source has revealed to IGN that GAME, the UK's biggest specialist retail store, will not be stocking Mass Effect 3 when it is released on March 9th.

The document below, which came from one of the group's flagship stores, indicates that GAME will not be stocking ANY of EA's March releases after SSX. Customers with pre-orders will be given £5 worth of Reward Card/Elite points.

This follows a very rough year for the chain, which has had credit problems that have prevented it from stocking some new releases. Recently, Wii RPG The Last Story, Ubisoft's entire PS Vita lineup and Tekken 3DS have been absent from store shelves and GAME's online store. The company's troubles have led to widespread rumblings that the chain might collapse, leaving the UK high street without a dedicated games retailer.

We have reached out to GAME for comment and confirmation.

UPDATE: Customers who have pre-ordered the N7 Collector's Edition are being advised to re-place their pre-order with Amazon, Play, ShopTo or Zavvi. It seems that the store credit offered as compensation is in addition to a full refund.

You can see the letter in question at this link http://uk.media.xbox360.ign.com/media/142/14235014/img_8858261.html and I urge you all to get on Play, Amazon, ShopTo or Zavvi asap and get your pre-orders in again! It's fair game now, the playing field has officially been levelled.
